Carnival

Carnival in Pakoštane is marked by Pametan Čudinov dan — a unique tradition when all locals with the surname Čudina take on the role of hosts for the entire village. They prepare homemade dishes and treat both residents and visitors with the flavours of authentic Dalmatian cuisine. The celebration begins during the mid-morning marenda, when delicious aromas fill the centre of the village. In the afternoon, a children’s masked parade brings colour and laughter to the streets, ending with the selection of the best children’s costume. The evening continues with a lively masked ball full of dance and fun. Don’t miss it!
