A theatrical, costumed performance portraying a conversation between two island women, reflecting the realities of life on the island in the mid-20th century. The protagonists of this staged scene, set in one of Vrgada’s narrow streets, are women from an old Vrgada family – the daughter-in-law Cvita and her unmarried sister-in-law Stošija (her husband’s sister). They are portrayed by two members of the cultural association “Skuti materini” Vrgada, dressed in authentic traditional women’s costumes of Vrgada. The characters speak in the traditional dialect of the island, while visitors will have the opportunity to hear traditional Vrgada songs and discover snippets from the island’s rich history. The entire performance is infused with the unmistakable and recognizable humor of island life.
