Northern Velebit National Park

Northern Velebit, teeming with life, is the most recent of all national parks in Croatia. It is home to as many as 79 endemic plant species. It is also a habitat for wolves, lynxes, and golden eagles. Visit the “Hajdučki i Rožanski kukovi” reserve, featuring 1,289 hectares of autochthonous beech forest, as well as the “Visibaba” botanical reserve, which is rich in endemics, the most famous being the Velebit degenia.
