The 4.5 km circular family trail commences at Maškovića Han, a historic residential building dating back to the Turkish era in Vrana. The meadow path guides you to the freshwater spring located within the Pećina cave which served as the starting point for the Roman aqueduct. The temperature within the cave offers a delightful respite from the heat on sweltering summer days. Continuing along the path, you'll encounter picturesque field landscape scenery that provides a panoramic view of the remnants of a medieval town and a Templar fortress before leading you back to Maškovića Han.

2. PAKOŠTANE — VRANA — DRAGE

The 10.6 km circular family trail starts in Pakoštane at the main square, right in front of the stone building of the Church of the Ascension of the Lord. After crossing the main road, the trail follows the southern shoreline of Lake Vrana, meandering through a serene pine forest and passing by enchanting olive groves. Eventually, it leads you to a tranquil resting spot right by the edge of the lake. Continuing on the southern side, the trail takes you to the coastal village of Draga, offering stunning views of the vast array of islands and islets scattered across the sea. From there, the path continues along the oastline, granting you captivating vistas until you return to the starting point in Pakoštane.

The family route, stretching over a distance of 15.3 km, begins at the charming tourist camp known as Pine Beach, nestled in one of the most breath-taking Dalmatian bays. The trail intersects both the main road and a historic Roman road, guiding you through orchards, olive groves and serene pine forests. It eventually leads you to the information centre at Crkvine, situated near the bird reserve. The route extends through the vast expanse of the Vrana plains, stretching towards the sea, passing by the town of Biograd, a former royal city which has been transformed into a bustling tourist and nautical hub. From there, the trail follows a fire-break road, leading you back to Pakoštane.

The trekking trail, extending across an impressive length of 38.3 km, starting at Maškovića Han, a remarkable heritage site dating back to the Ottoman era. It then leads to Majdan hill, providing a panoramic view of the bird reserve - an expansive area of floodplain meadows and dense reeds that serves as a haven and sanctuary for numerous bird species. Close by, you'll find a designated rest area along with a birdwatching spot. The route descends towards the pontoon pier before venturing through the enchanting macchia forest, leading you in the direction of Banjevci. Spanning a distance of 17.2 km, the trekking route commences in the coastal town of Biograd na Moru. It then guides you to the exciting and entertaining destination of the Dalmaland Fun Park, before continuing towards the former Club Mediterranee (now known as Pine Beach), immersing you in the serene beauty of a dense pine forest. Continuing beyond the main road, the route winds its way towards Lake Vrana, taking you through scenic fields and a lush evergreen forest. It then guides you towards the Biograd cemetery before completing the loop and bringing you back to the starting point.

This spot marks the starting point of the Roman water supply system, showcasing the ingenuity of ancient engineering. The refreshing ambience inside the cave provides a delightful respite on hot summer days. The MTB route spans a distance of 9 km and is classified as a light 1/3 in terms of physical difficulty and a medium 2/3 in terms of technical challenge. The MTB route commences at the main square in Pakoštane, right in front of the parish church dedicated to the Ascension of the Lord. From there, it follows a scenic path along the coastline, offering breath-taking views of small bays and the picturesque garden of islands and islets. The route continues until it reaches the village of Draga. The route ascends above the village of Draga, leading you to the Čelinka hill. Here, you can explore the remnants of the ancient Liburnian hilltop settlement, offering fascinating glimpses into the historical significance of this area. From the hilltop, you'll be treated to a sweeping panoramic view that encompasses two bodies of water - the expansive lake and the sparkling sea. The path continues onwards towards the serene lake, guiding you through picturesque olive groves and fragrant pine forests as you make your way back to Pakoštane.

The MTB route spans a distance of 30 km and is classified as a moderately demanding trail, with a physical difficulty rating of 2/3 and a technical difficulty rating of 2/3. The MTB route begins at the historic Maškovića Han, an iconic example of Ottoman architecture. From there, it takes you towards Majdan hill, offering a magnificent vantage point to observe the entire bird reserve. This vast wetland habitat serves as a crucial resting and wintering ground for numerous bird species, providing a captivating sight for nature enthusiasts. Before beginning the ascent up Mednjača to Kamenjak, the route first descends towards the serene lake. From the viewpoint of Kamenjak, you can enjoy an awe-inspiring panoramic view that spans across the lake, the sea, coastal towns and distant islands. Heading north of Kamenjak, towards the west, the route concludes at its starting point near the remarkable Maškovića Han.

9. PAKOŠTANE — PROSIKA — CRKVINE — MAŠKOVIĆA HAN

The 40.4 km long trekking route begins in front of the main church in Pakoštane. It continues until you reach the PPVJ Prosika information centre, situated next to a quaint small harbour featuring a 19th-century fishery house that adds an enchanting touch to the surroundings. The route extends along the picturesque northern shore of the lake, meandering through dry stone walls crafted from karst limestone and weaving through a vibrant macchia forest. It then ascends to Majdan hill, offering breath-taking vistas, before descending towards Maškovića Han -a historic building from the Ottoman era that has been transformed into a charming hotel. Continuing alongside the remarkable bird reserve, which serves as a sanctuary for countless marshland birds, the route takes you to the Crkvine information centre before guiding you back to the main square in Pakoštane.

10. BIOGRAD N/M — KAKMA

Spanning a distance of 25.4 km, the trekking route starts in the historic Croatian town of Biograd na Moru, which once used to be a place of coronations and is now a thriving nautical centre. Then, the route takes you on a journey passing by the cemetery, the main channel whose tributaries flow into the lake, the Vencel horse riding club and a monument dedicated to the fallen defenders of Croatia. Continuing through fields, by the channels, this lovely route leads you to the village of Kakma before circling back to Biograd.
